This can easily be done by visiting http://validator.w3.org/ and it will validate your website for you, tell you where your problem lie, and even fix your code, if you are running straight html. In today's world of Wordpress websites however, copying and pasting their code isn't always that easy. So what I do is save the website page I am testing to my desktop and open it with Adobe Dreamweaver.
